Getting the flu during the holidays sort of drove me into photography hibernation which carried over into January of 2015. I probably picked up my camera once or twice during that time. It did, however, allow me to catch up with my bookkeeping, revamp parts of my website, get caught up with my watch list on Hulu Plus, AND more importantly, play with my daughter as soon as I got out of “quarantine”.

Even though high school football season’s over, my friend Kim was able to borrow a couple of jerseys for her son, Tyree’s, senior session. The day of the shoot turned out to be rainy and cold so we scrapped the plan to shoot outdoors in Bowie. Instead, we decided to do the session at my work’s old lab/warehouse in Upper Marlboro. I’m always after getting the best out of my subjects during their photo sessions. The job gets easier when they are comfortable and confident about their pose. Sophie had her hair done but was hesitant having her photo taken because she wasn’t wearing makeup.
